Sub:- Assured Career Progression Scheme
(ACPS) effective from 09.08.1999 for Announcers, Music Composers, Instrumentalists & Newsreader-cum-Translators in AIR.
Reference this Directorate?s O.M. No. 8/1/2008-S.VIII (Pt.I), dated 01.07.2010 on the subject
cited above.
All the Zonal Heads of AIR were requested to convene the Screening Committee Meeting to consider the 1st financial
upgradation under ACP Scheme in r/o Announcers and 1st & 2nd financial upgradation under ACP Scheme
in r/o Instrumentalists and send the recommendations of the Screening Committee along with yearwise CR Grading Charts and
Integrity/Vigilance Clearance Certificates to this Directorate for approval. The Zonal Heads of AIR were also requested to send the complete proposals along with details in the
enclosed proforma, ACR dossiers and Integrity/Vigilance Clearance Certificates for consideration of 2nd financial
upgradation under ACP Scheme in respect to Announcers and 1st & 2nd financial upgradation under
ACP Scheme in r/o Music Composers to this Directorate for convening the Screening Committee Meeting. It
is to be mentioned here that the composition of the Screening Committee will be the same as in the case of Departmental Promotion
Committee. But, most of the Zonal Heads of AIR have not sent the
above proposals to this Directorate causing unnecessary hardship to the employees concerned and correspondences in this Directorate. It is, therefore, requested
that the above mentioned formalities may please be completed urgently and the complete proposals may please be sent to this
Directorate for necessary action.
DG (News), NSD, AIR, New Delhi is also
requested to send the complete proposals along with details in the enclosed proforma, ACR dossiers and Integrity/ Vigilance
Clearance Certificates for consideration of 1st & 2nd financial upgradation under ACP Scheme in
respect to Newsreader-cum-Translators to this Directorate for convening the Screening Committee Meeting.

with the approval of competent authority.

Subject:-Modified Assured Career Progression Scheme (MACPs) for the Central Government Civilian Employees
- Cases in respect
of Announcers in All India Radio regarding.
In pursuance of Ministry
of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions (Department of Personnel and Training)
O.M. No. 35034/3/2008-Estt.(D) dated 19.05.2009 circulated vide DG: AIR Lr. No. B-12017/7/2008-WL
dated 29.05.2009 and the
clarification conveyed vide Lr.No. 6/9/2009-SVIII/672 dated 10.11.2009, the Screening Committee for
MACP Cases on completion of 10, 20 & 30 years service will consist as per the existing norms
for the cadre of Announcers, Music Composers,
Instrumentalists, News-reader-cum-Translators etc., which is notified in Recruitment Rules.
Based on the decision conveyed the Screening Committee to consider the MACP cases of
employees in the above said cadres who are in the pre revised Scale of Pay of Rs. 6500-10,500/-(Group
?B? Gazetted) are only to be constituted in this Directorate.
2. Zonal Head, AIR Stations are therefore
requested to take immediate necessary action to convene the Screening
Committee Meeting to consider the MACP Cases on completion of 10, 20 and 30 years service in
respect of Announcers Grade-IV
and Grade-III in their zone at the zonal head station itself and send recommendation(s) of the Screening
Committee Meeting
along-with related supporting documents for approval of the competent authority in this
Directorate.
